My current work 'These Unseen Places' is inspired by walking and sketching along less trodden, quieter paths of the Malvern Hills. Hidden places that go unnoticed, formed through a landscape’s layered history, landforms and human memories.

The hills are more than a landscape; they are a vital resource for mental and physical wellbeing, both personally to me and for the local communities. An integral part of my practice is story mapping. Listening to memories has highlighted how personal and varied a sense of place can be, and how deeply people’s identities and different experiences are woven into the fabric of our landscapes.   

My exploration is indebted to my history and nature loving, painter grandfather and influenced by my previous career as a landscape architect.
